Going to Japan for the anime is a retarded reason to go to Japan, period. You should be going there to experience the culture or learn the language. Just something that doesn't boil down to "JAPAN IS ALL ANIME DESU!"
I had those people in my exchange program and they pissed me off. All they wanted to know about was the anime. Screw the culture, screw the language, it was about the anime. What a waste of a trip on their part.

I'm planning on going to Japan in the future, cause I love their culture and I want to visit the cafes and such. I even want to visit their cat island. But, I agree. Going to Japan only because of anime is ridiculous!
